Speaking of vases - these are actually just wrapped bottles of various sizes. I absolutely love this idea, because the costs are minimal (just the ribbon) and you get to repurpose all those jars and bottles you use! There were mayo jars, pickle jars, alcohol bottles, etc - all wrapped in various burlap ribbons. Some were edged in lace, some with coordinated colored ribbon - they were all unique, but also went together SO well. The nice thing is, you can start making these ahead of time, then store them away until you need them. Then fill them with some pretty flowers before the big day and you're good to go!

Even if you don't have a wedding coming up, this is a great way to update some of the décor you have in your own house. The next time you empty out a glass jar or bottle, wrap it in twine or ribbon, add some embellishments (paper flowers from the craft store for example) and liven up your space this summer. :)
