So instead, I decided to make some cute lunches to brighten up their day since no doubt hearts and candy are offensive outside of lunch.
I know what you're thinking - where are all of my adorable Pinterest-worthy homemade Valentine's Day cards and treats?! NO WHERE - because schools officially hate joy. Okay, maybe that's extreme - they do still get to play a few games today and pass out cards - but those "cards" come with pretty strict instructions, including absolutely NO morsels of food (the best part of Valentine's Day!) and get this - they can't even put the kids' names on the cards anymore. Isn't that crazy?! Non-addressed cards?! How generic and non-personalized is that?! So I'm revolting, and my kid got generic cards from Target with erasers and no doubt we're rule followers, so we left the TO: part blank. BORING.

The only thing making me happier than my upcoming Tom Brady party on Sunday is that my new book is FINALLY out! Wahooo!!! Check out all of these sparkling paperbacks I've sent out this week! If you'd prefer an ebook copy, just click this link and it will take you right to the Amazon page: A new book launch means - yes, new giveaways and contests! Wahoooo! Next week I'll be announcing all the details as to what you can win (not just books, but also gift baskets, gift cards, etc) along with details on how to enter.
In the meantime, I'm heading out to celebrate with lots of wine this weekend, while no doubt staring back into Tom Brady's dreamy eyes (note: I don't actually care who wins the game, I'm not necessarily a Patriot's fan - but more so just a fan of Tom's intense stare and perfect jawline...) - hey, a girl's gotta get her romance inspiration from somewhere, right?? Make sure you check back next week for contest information!! :) |
AuthorI love writing romance novels, editing other people's novels, planning parties (heavy on the theme food!) and watching movies. Cooking has also become a passion of mine (because you can't have a proper party without food!) and I love finding new hobbies when I can squeeze them in. Archives
