My daughter asked to make her own Thanksgiving dessert to take to our family feast - she's decided that although she wants to be an artist when she grows up, perhaps she can make edible art so she can make a better living (great plan!) - she asked me to make her a cookie cake, so I did. Here's what she did with it (completely on her own, I might add - I didn't help at all!):
Pride. Soooooo much pride (some on her end, but mostly on my end) - her very first try decorating a cookie cake, and THIS is what she pulled off. I am in awe. If I tried that, my turkey would more likely end up looking like an inappropriate body part. This is amazing proof to me that we all have our own unique talents and strengths, and I am so delighted to watch this little girl find her own - just one of the many (many!) things I am thankful for.
I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family.
