For the kids, same thing - I'm pretty sure they bring home 85 papers each day from school, and they all end up all over the kitchen. Now they each have their own space to store all of their stuff, and a nice space to work on their homework. Sounds like I just got my kitchen counters back, woot woot!
A little bit about the process - first, I grabbed my painting team. They are terrible workers, but they are adorable and like to feel included so I give them easy tasks.
Now, the fun part begins - organizing the room. I am part excited/part terrified for this. As you may know, I am somewhat of a hoarder when it comes to craft supplies. String to short to do anything with?? Yep, I've got a box for that. Paper shards already reduced from a 12x12" sheet down to a 1cm strip? Oooh, I have a box for that too - it would make a great border for something! (See, I have a problem.)
So this weekend I plan to go through all my craft supplies, only save what is REASONABLE (like maybe string that is long enough to do something with?) and then I'll let you know how it turns out. I also plan to turn the back of my sliding door into an organizer's dream - shelving, ribbon storage, etc. Stay tuned! :)
