We're kind of 'eat around the kitchen' people, and even when we have guests over, the same thing applies. We have an actual table in our kitchen, but between that and the island barstools, I've never felt the need for a big fancy table that just looks 'pretty' 359 days a year (not to mention we're never the ones hosting big family holiday gatherings, so it wouldn't even be used then!) - and I am definitely not a china hutch person. After all, I have an actual pig living in my house - no need pretending I like expensive dishes (or expensive things in general for that matter, lol).

There's still much work left to complete (and I'm having some help with this one - my husband is all about supporting my DIY projects, but isn't too keen on me using big powertools - why doesn't he trust me?? Oh yeah, I broke a bathroom once - my bad...) but by the time it's done, I will no doubt have some wonderful, FUNCTIONAL space.
Interested in seeing what this room will become? I'm not going to reveal that until it's done, but here's a hint - check out these cute little locker cubbies I found at Marshalls!
