Step one - mix some powdered sugar and peanut butter together - start with just a few table spoons of each and mix until you get the right consistency (more or less of course depending on how many pies you are making!) - it should look like peanut butter when you're done, but it will be sweeter and less "sticky" - spread this mixture in the bottom of each pie shell (up the sides of it too! :) Next you whip up your instant pudding and pour in a layer, followed by a layer of cool whip - then top with half a Nutter Butter (and crush some up for "sprinkles") or just crush up some graham crackers. If you have any of your peanut butter/powdered sugar mix left, you can also crumble this up and sprinkle it on top as well!
Yep - that's it!! Other recipe ideas include: fresh fruit (kind of like a trifle) - just mix the fruit you want (the above pic is strawberries and bananas), pudding, cool whip, and top with more fruit! I'm also a big fan of cookie and brownie mini pies - layer broken up cookie or brownie pieces on the bottom of the crust, layer on some chocolate pudding and cool whip, then top with some crushed up cookie/brownie pieces!
But seriously - try these peanut butter pies first - they are SO good, quick to make, they look good all plated up and everyone loves them! :)
