Now I'm not overly creative when it comes to costumes and house decorations (not overly thrilled about keeping up fake spiders for a month and such - it's just not my cup of tea) - but theme food?! That I can get into.
Here's an awesome way to lay out your party food:
Grab a skull and some old clothes and lay them out on your table - then when party time comes, pull out your heated foil dishes and boom - cool, creepy table setup!
Now I have to admit, this pic would've been better had I not screwed it up with my large foil tray of candy corn mac n' cheese, lol. We were told to bring our food in foil trays (that I listened to) but no one gave me a size restriction, so naturally my dish looks like the odd one out. Not the worst crime of course, but this would've looked cooler had I put my dish in one that matched the others. So just a heads up, if you have guests all contributing food, either have your own foil pans to transfer stuff into (if you care that it all looks streamlined) or tell your guests what you're looking for.
At the end of the day though (my weird tray or not!) I thought this looked so very creepy/cool!
Coming up next on the blog: how to creatively use up all that candy your kids just begged for - (hello Christmas monster cookies!) - and other fun upcoming projects I'm working on (invites for my annual chili cook-off, along with a new room makeover - whooo hoo!).
Happy Halloween, friends!! :)
