The plot of the book is unique and quite interesting (and will have you asking yourself/your friends/your significant other if they would go through with such a thing). The idea is that they've found a "gene" in our DNA that can perfectly match you with someone else for a life of happiness and bliss. The book covers a wide spectrum of characters - people already in love, people searching for love, people simply intrigued by the idea even though they aren't totally convinced by it - there's even a serial killer in there (definitely the most gripping storyline for me!) and all their stories take on totally different directions. It wraps up nice and tidy too (a must for me) and I was exhausted and all hyped up at the same time upon finishing this book, which is a wonderful mix of emotions to have.
I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a solid, thrilling read, but I also think it would be perfect for a book club or group of sorts because there is sooooo much to talk about when it's over. Sadly for me, I only have Kevin Bacon to talk about it with, but he loves a dark bedtime story, so he was a fan:
Kudos to you, John Marrs on a job well done. PS, if you ever hear quiet "oinking" behind you, you may have a book stalker.
